PLMun graduating students attend labor education program 

Alabang, Muntinlupa - A total of 2,285 graduating students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) participated in the Labor Education For Graduating Students (LEGS) Program organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO Muntinlupa) at South Park Center on June 1.

The program aimed to provide students with knowledge about the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of both workers and employers, emphasizing equality and non-discrimination in the workplace.

Highlighting the event were discussions led by representatives from various government agencies. Mr. Edgardo Valmoria and Mr. Reynon Arlan from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MunTaParLas discussed DOLE Labor Standards, enlightening the students about their rights as employees. Mr. Alex Custodio from the Las Piñas Office talked about PhilHealth Programs and Services, providing valuable information on health insurance coverage. Mr. Jerome Bustillo from the SSS Muntinlupa Branch tackled Philippine Social Security System (SSS) Programs and Services, emphasizing the importance of social security benefits. Lastly, Ms. Leonida S. Asuncion and Ms. Debbie Digo from the Muntinlupa Branch discussed Pag-Ibig Programs and Services, enlightening the students about housing and provident fund benefits.

The LEGS Program aimed to equip graduating students with essential knowledge and awareness about their rights and benefits as they transition into the workforce.
