Alabang Central Market Wet Section opens
The Wet Section of the Alabang Central Market (ACM) was officially opened yesterday, February 28, led by Mayor Ruffy Biazon, Congressman Jimmy Fresnedi, Vice Mayor Temy Simundac, city councilors, City Administrator Engr. Allan Cachuela, and other officials.
According to ACM Administrator Mr. Randy Garcia, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) requested to use the facilities of the ACM to invite other market managers and administrators from across Metro Manila to showcase its beauty and make it a standard for other markets.
"We see the potential of this market, especially in these times when we are recovering from the pandemic, and our city is reviving its economy. We are looking forward to a brighter future for all of us. Of course, we thank then-Mayor and now Cong. Jimmy Fresnedi for this initiative. Rest assured that we will bring this to greater heights as you have envisioned," Mayor Biazon said.
The officials who attended the event also signed a Pledge of Commitment to keep the market clean and orderly. It is an important step to ensure that the market will remain a source of pride and livelihood for the community.
The opening of the Wet Section of the Alabang Central Market marks a new beginning for the local economy. It provides hope and opportunities for vendors and consumers alike. With the commitment of the officials and the support of the community, the ACM is set to become a model market that can inspire other markets in the Philippines.
