Muntinlupa turns over 200 houses to poor families
The city government of Muntinlupa turned over 200 housing units, a project funded by the Department of Interior and Local Government, to poor families in Purok 3, Barangay Cupang.
DILG Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III, DILG-NCR Director Ma. Lourdes Agustin, and Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi led the blessing of Harmony Ville housing units amounting to P79.9 million on August 13.
Densing lauded Muntinlupa LGU’s initiative to provide sustainable and decent housing projects for ISFs from danger zones and indigent families. The DILG exec also recognized Fresnedi’s leadership in championing inclusive development programs for Muntinlupeños.
Fresnedi extended his gratitude to DILG for funding the housing project in Brgy. Cupang. The local exec encouraged the beneficiaries to take utmost care of the turned-over units. Also attending the ceremony were Congressman Ruffy Biazon, Vice Mayor Temy Simundac, DILG Muntinlupa Director Silvestre Barrameda Jr., and other local officials.
Harmony Ville HOA president Elmer Javier also expressed his thanks to the DILG and City Government in behalf of all the beneficiaries. Javier vowed to keep their community intact and supportive of the government’s initiatives.
Harmony Ville is only of the many in-city housing projects in Muntinlupa City. These projects include housing villages in Centennial Avenue in Brgy. Tunasan, Soldiers Hills in Brgy. Putatan, and among other through partnership with the private sector and other groups.
