Muntinlupa opens one-stop shop for legal services
The Office of the City Prosecutor – Muntinlupa launched a One-Stop Shop for its services for faster processing of legal documents.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi graced the opening of OCP Muntinlupa’s One-Stop Shop system, a first in NCR, together with Muntinlupa City Prosecutor Aileen Marie Gutierrez and other local officials at the Justice Hall, Brgy. Tunasan last September 5.
Services offered by OCP which include receiving of criminal complaints for preliminary investigation and inquest, issuance of Prosecutor’s Clearance, and request for Certification of Case Status are consolidated in a single platform. The public can also inquire directly at the One-Stop-Shop and save time from transferring to one office to the other.
Fresnedi applauded OCP Muntinlupa’s initiatives in embracing innovation to address the needs of the public, while continuing to administer justice for all.
“We are very glad that OCP takes the challenge of upgrading and utilizing technological advancements to make the justice system more accessible and facilitate efficient turnaround of the delivery of government services,” the local exec said.
He also expressed the local government’s continuous assistance to the Office of the City Prosecutor for the people of Muntinlupa.
It can be noted that the City Government of Muntinlupa has also pioneered a similar novel business registration through the Business One-Stop Shop Single Window Transaction (BOSS-SWIT), a streamlined procedure for securing a business license in the city.
The local government rolled out an initiative to implement more efficient governance by creating one-stop-shop access for the delivery of public services, which has been modified and simplified over time. SWiT-MBOSS provides simpler, quicker public service delivery and has resulted in a better, more business-friendly environment.
