Muntinlupa employees hold general assembly
On February 25, the members of the Muntinlupa Cityhall Employees' Multi-Purpose Cooperative-MCHEMPC, which now totals to almost 1,600 members, gathered at the Muntinlupa Sports Center along with Mayor Ruffy Biazon as a special guest.
The 23rd General Assembly was held to introduce the new set of Board of Directors, which includes Dr. Noel Bumanglag, Dr. Juancho Bunyi, Mr. Jay Espeleta, Mr. Herminio dela Cruz, Ms. Ruby Gapuz, Ms. Analyn Mercado, and Ms. Lanie Casanova.
In attendance were also Muntinlupa City Cooperative Office Head Atty. Nemei Santiago, outgoing MCHEMPC Chairperson Ms. Lorna Misa, and other officials and employees of the local government.
During the event, Mayor Biazon congratulated the new Board of Directors and expressed his gratitude to the cooperative for their efforts in promoting financial literacy and empowerment among its members. He also emphasized the importance of cooperatives in the economic development of the city.
The outgoing Chairperson, Ms. Lorna Misa, expressed her thanks to the members for their support and participation in the cooperative's programs and services. She also wished the new Board of Directors success in their new roles.
The new Board of Directors pledged to continue the cooperative's mission of providing financial services and opportunities to its members, and to work towards its growth and sustainability.
Overall, the 23rd General Assembly of the MCHEMPC was a successful gathering of cooperative members, officials, and employees, all united in their commitment to promoting financial literacy, empowerment, and economic development in Muntinlupa City.
