Muntinlupa, PSA sign agreement for National ID rollout

Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi (left) signs a Memorandum of Agreement with PSA-NCR Regional Director Paciano Dizon (right) last April 21 at Muntinlupa City Hall for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration in the city which aims to establish a single national identification system for all. Fresnedi vows to assist PSA for the roll-out of the national ID system registration in Muntinlupa by providing logistical support and mobilizing all required resources. He noted that the national ID system will help the local government in improving the public’s accessibility to social welfare programs and benefits from the government. Also joining the MOA signing ceremony were PSA-NCR Chief Statistical Specialist Estrella Vargas, PSA-NCR PhilSys Focal Person Minerva Carpio, PSA-NCR Statistical Analyst John Daniel Flores, and Muntinlupa City Planning and Development Officer Alvin Veron.
