Muntinlupa’s active Covid cases decline to 11

The active COVID-19 cases in Muntinlupa have dropped to 11, while four barangays have logged zero active cases as of December 10.

The latest data from the Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO) showed that as of December 10, the city’s active cases totaled 11, adding 13 recoveries and no new COVID-19 cases for the day.

Four out of the nine barangays have logged zero active cases: Brgy. Bayanan, Brgy. Alabang, Brgy. Ayala Alabang, and Brgy. Buli. While, Barangay Buli has logged zero active cases for seven consecutive days since December 4.

The remaining barangay with active COVID-19 cases are Brgy. Tunasan with 1; Brgy. Poblacion with 5; Brgy. Putatan with 2; Brgy. Cupang with 2; and Brgy. Sucat with 1.
In the recent NCR COVID-19 Update report of OCTA Research, Muntinlupa City placed 5th among Metro Manila cities with lowest ADAR (Average Daily Attack Rate) of 0.55.

Muntinlupa has been classified as “Low Risk” along with other five other NCR LGUs.

To date, there are 27,587 confirmed cases in Muntinlupa City with 26,997 recoveries, 579 reported deaths, 13 suspect cases, and 317 probable cases. 

Meanwhile, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi urges residents not to be complacent with the improving local COVID-19 situation. He encourages the public to continue following the minimum health protocols and safety measures such as wearing of face masks, physical distancing, and washing of hands.

Fresnedi also invites Muntinlupeños to get vaccinated and underscored the importance of vaccine as protection against COVID-19. City residents may register online through the city’s COVID-19 vaccination registration system via

Further, nearly 50 percent of the pediatric population in Muntinlupa City, or those minors aged 12 to 17 years old, has been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of December 8.

At least 27,328 eligible minors have already received their COVID-19 vaccine, translating to 49 percent of the target pediatric population of 55,391.

By barangay, out of the 27,328, a total of 5,815 are from Putatan; 4,662 from Poblacion; 4,133 from Tunasan; 3,219 from Sucat; 3,094 from Cupang; 3,030 from Alabang; 2,283 from Bayanan; 458 from Buli and 253 from Ayala Alabang. An additional 381 are non-residents.

As of Dec. 8, a total of 42,588 minors 12 to 17-year-olds have registered with MunCoVac or 77 percent of the total population for the said age group in the city.

Out of the total registrants, 2,799 have comorbidities and are classified as Pediatric A3, and 39,789 are classified as “well children.”
