The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said its operatives confiscated P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu from a saleslady and two others during a buy-bust operation in Novaliches, Quezon City on Feb. 23.

PDEA RO-NCR Director Joel Plaza identified the suspects  ad Karen “Michelle” Leal, 32; John Rhens Timing, 20; and Jason Ymalay, 26.

The suspects were arrested at around 4:30 p.m. after Leal agreed to meet with a PDEA agent posing as a buyer at a 24-hour convenience store in Barangay Kaligayahan.

Plaza said a piece of self-sealing transparent plastic bag, which allegedly contained suspected shabu weighing more or less 500 grams, a Samsung analog cellular phone and the buy-bust money were also confiscated from the suspects.

Authorities are now preparing criminal charges against the suspects for violation of Section 5, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
